Learning Objectives

Frame: Scholarship as Conversation

Learners will be able to:

  • Identify the characteristics of a fluent information researcher
    • i.e., Recall that a fluent information researcher would:
      • examine every angle of a topic by consulting a variety of information sources
      • articulate her/his ideas in class discussions
      • make connections between others’ ideas
  • Identify the definition of a “scholarly conversation,” from a list.
    • i.e., a scholarly conversation is an exchange of ideas over time, in a variety of settings


Format: Tutorial (6-8 minutes)

Certificate: Students can opt to receive a certificate with 100% score on the four-question quiz (quiz is repeatable)

Accessibility: Closed Captions and downloadable transcript; poorly navigable by keyboard in Flash version
