Learners will be able to:

  • List criteria that indicates whether a source is popular, scholarly, or trade
  • Distinguish between types of sources (i.e. scholarly journals, popular periodicals, trade).
  • Define “peer review” in respect to a scholarly article
  • Identify scholarly journals as likely to have articles that are peer-reviewed
  • Categorize publications by source type
